Little something that took me freaking over three weeks to make entirely in Photoshop.

... and I don't even know his name. Oh, this is the guy I originally made the discarded scarf for. :3 Look at him and all his :iconwhutplz: OMG DETAILS! :faint:

What I do know, is that he is a pirate who pillages the lands and takes some items of clothing as memoirs of the countries he's pillaged. He has a belt buckle from England, shoes from India (> .> kinda), vest from... generic... Arabia (<_<;), and scarf from China. I think he's Middle Eastern... or Romanian... or a Gypsie ... somewhere in there. >_> *cough* ^__^ See how wonderfully developed he is!

Aww, I wish we could see a side by side comparison to see how much it improved! But just looking back at this is really cool. Awesome details and lighting/shading, and the texture you used for the sea is quite effective and reminiscent of a computer game from about a decade ago... somewhat realistic but not as realistic as the games today. Water is hard.

I made the shading on him better in general, the waves and clouds more realistic, and I added barrels. Also his right arm moved slightly.

Awesome work on painting his skin and face... you had to have had a reference, right? He looks too real!

And all the detail you put in his outfit... weeks worth, I believe you. D:

XD but I painted him in Photoshop, it's not for a videogame at all.

Yeah, I had referances. Well... no one really looks like this, although I did look for people of this skin tone to get the color and shading right and I looked for close ups on large noses, eyes, faces and just stuff...

Well, it certainly looks awesome for something painted in Photoshop! :D

References are great for realism :D (I know a lot comic pros use references, especially for backgrounds...)
